Provide a name (say: Microsoft Print to PDF) to the newly added printer. Select Microsoft Print to PDF from the list and continue to the next screen by clicking the Next button. This will list the available printers in the right-side. In the next screen, select Microsoft from the left-side panel. Click the Use an existing port option and select FILE: (Print to File) from the dropdown.
In the next screen, you need to select the printer port. Select the last option, that says Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings and click the Next button, as shown here: This will open the Add Printer dialog on the screen. Click on the link The printer that I want isn't listed, as shown below: This will search for available printers connected to your system. Under the Add printers & scanners, click on Add a printer or scanner, as shown in the below screenshot:
If you don't find the Microsoft Print to PDF printer listed there, you need to add the said printer driver. In the right-side panel, scroll to the Printers section, as demonstrated below. To install the ' Microsoft Print to PDF Driver' in Windows 10, first open the Settings app, and navigate to the Devices tab as shown in the below screenshot:įrom the left-side navigation panel, select Printers & scanners. Though, this feature is available by default with the operating system, but in case it is not available, you can install the required driver by following the steps mentioned in this post. In Windows 10, it is easy to create PDF files using the Microsoft Print to PDF printer drivers.
